Hard to believe, but it was 17 years ago today that I started blogging my reading experiences. Little did I know I’d still be doing this so far into the future! π I still love reading – I always have. I only wish I had more time to really sit and write about the books I read. I don’t have enough time to write about all the books I read and I don’t have the time to write in depth; but — I know that in the coming years I will be reaching the age of retirement and I hope to have more time to devote to the things I love to do (not just the things I have to do).
In the meantime, I will continue to love reading and connecting with authors, publishers, publicists, and other readers!
My advice for 2026: read what you want – no apologies needed!
That’s amazing! Do you have any idea how many books you have read ib 17 years? Happy new year and keep up the good work!
Oh gosh — I’m not sure. I read more than I post about and I read a lot of books for children as I work in a school and don’t often post those. Last year I was a reader for a major international children’s book award and that added 120 books to what I was reading on my own! I had to read a book every night after dinner (they were middle grade chapter books, so about 200 pages thankfully). I’ve always been a reader!
Congratulations on 17 years! That is something to be proud of. My blog turns 4 this year. I
canβt imagine 17. Hope you have lots of continued success:)
Thank you so much!! Best of luck to you as well. I would be lost without books!
