I love the Maggie Hope series by Susan Elia MacNeal, so I was thrilled to get the latest installment. These mysteries are so interesting as I learn a lot about espionage during WWII. I love the character of Maggie and how she is a strong, independent woman and so smart! Susan MacNeal has great pacing in her works and is definitely a writer who does her research.

I love a good mysetery that takes place near where I live, so I was happy to read and take part in the tour for this new novel by Raemi A. Ray that takes place in Martha’s Vineyard. It was interesting, suspenseful, and well-plotted. I read it in two days as I couldn’t put it down!

I love this historical cozy mystery series so I was excited to receive the latest installment! In this one, Cressida and her sweet pug Ruby are solving a murder/theft mystery at an old church. It was pretty tricky to figure out and also fun along the way. Even those this is part of a series, I think you can read each title as a stand-alone.

It was an interesting story, and I learned several new things about homesteading in Canada.

I was so glad to have a chance to read this novel and I can say with certainty that I do NOT have what it takes to be a strong female on the prairies like the women featured in this book!
